16 DAYS of ACTION against DOMESTIC ABUSE
Council has headed up a Social Media Campaign highlighting the issues and signs of an abusive relationship
Staff have attended awareness sessions organised by GDASS
Information has been disseminated to Voluntary Sector Groups
FEARLESS: There is a 16 Day challenge which is taking place between the 25th November and the 10th December encouraging individuals to raise £160 over 16 days (£10 a day). With a goal set on their website of £5000 the link can be found below:

Cost of Living Crisis
The District Council has distributed over £340,000 in funding so far, as well as helping to deliver essential items and advice to support people during the cost of living crisis.
As part of this funding, over £50,000 has been provided to local causes with £22,500 being provided to the Forest Baby Bank to support parents across the Forest, £10,000 issued to Salvation Army and over £18,000 issued to the Forest Food Bank and Lords Larder at Newent to assist Forest of Dean residents with food and essentials this

4.Strategic Overview and Scrutiny Committee:- We had an initial look at Public Business Plan
Looked at Leisure Services
Update given on draft report for Northern United Scrutiny –some members picked to comment on it-I was not one of the Councillors picked.
